Doe is desperate, hungry, and homeless. She has absolutely no memories that who she is or from where she has come from. King is a dangerous criminal who has just come out of prison. He is someone you never would like to come across unless you are all set to pay him back with your sweat, blood, sex, or at times, all of the three. The future of King at the moment hangs in the balance. Doe is now written in her past life. When both King and Doe came face to face, they would learn that they need to go a bit to hold on to something.

King is a novel that has got so much angst, drama, tears, heartache, surprise, shocks, and devastation. The words are just not enough to describe the depth of this novel. In other words, this novel is the mother of all cliffhangers. The novel is a bit dark with a teenage female character, which is important to mention to alert the listeners in advance.
