The Valentine Wedding Dress

The Valentine Wedding Dress is a fictional romance story authored by Sherryl Woods. Woods is a renowned American author of over a hundred novels ranging from mystery to romance. If you want to give other novels of her a try, consider Stealing Home. Besides that, you can also check out A Slice of Heaven.

While Elenna Stauffer is a solid voice-actor, even she can’t save an audiobook doomed to fail. She tries her best to narrate, but what she’s given is unrealistic. The story doesn’t seem believable enough.

Lara Calhoun is drawn to an old trunk in the attic. She cant resist the treasures that her late mother might have hidden up there for all those years. She discovers something up there that changes her life forever. She starts second-guessing everything. All the things that her mother taught her, she starts to doubt them.

She doesn’t understand the concept of love anymore. She meets Dave Lafferty and they discover that their parents used to date. Sparks fly between them. However, will the upcoming events lead Lara into the arms of Dave, or will it turn her away from love for the rest of her life? However, the main question remains: Can a special wedding dress bring about love on Valentine’s Day? Can it unite two people who were always meant to be? That is what we will find out.

Clocking in at 38 minutes, this isn’t a wholesome story that will leave you feeling fulfilled. While the music at the end and beginning is a nice touch, it doesn’t matter when the rest of the story lacks substance. The author failed to build a connection with the plot and the audience. The characters are also seemingly uninteresting.
