Author Karen Marie Moning’s favorite characters Mac, Jaba, Barrons, and Ryodan are back with a bang. These characters have accomplished many impossible tasks in the past and now they have been given something which is totally out of their reach. Going down in a battle without a fight is not the routine of the heroes so the main characters just pack up their luggage and go in search of the Song of Making.
For a long, the world of humans and the faeries were separated by a wall that kept both of the species in their domain but now an evil creature has broken that wall. Humans are in grave danger as the young and powerful Unseelie prince is planning to become the ruler of both worlds at the same time. Mac and Jada are in search of the queen and this is not the only problem they are dealing with.
Some people want to erase these two from the face of the world. Luke Daniels and Jill Redfield narrate the character of these two tremendously well here. The two are not only breathless but are also terrified because of the situation. Song of Making is the only melody that can save both worlds but Mac has her demons to tame because of which she is unable to concentrate on her work.
The author’s previous creations i.e Faefever and Darkfever were about fights and this is total destruction which Mac has to stop at any rate. If it is not stopped then not only lives would be lost but also a cruel ruler will put his paw on both worlds.
