Friday Night Bites is a paranormal romance novel. It is the second instalment in the Chicagoland Vampires novel series. The book is written by Chole Neill. She is a bestselling American author known for writing gripping paranormal romance and urban fantasy novels. Some Girls Bites is another good one by Chloe Neill and so is House Rules.
The audio narration of Friday Night Bites is done by Cynthia Holloway. Narration was far from being accurate. She had an overly dramatic voice which annoyed the listeners.
“There were vamps in Chicago.”
You would think that headlines like the above would provoke all the citizens of the Windy City to pick up arms against the bloodsucking vamps. After 10 months, we were enjoying great celebrity status. This was something only reserved for the elite of Hollywood while fending off paparazzi who were slightly less dangerous than cross and the other stake-wielding slayers. Joe Public wasn’t thrilled as such to be living a life with the undead, and don’t get me wrong about it.
All of that would change once they get a chance to learn all about the Raves, who were the mass feeding parties, and where the vamps round up the humans just like cattle. They would just simply drink themselves. The most civilized vamps were the ones who frown on such behaviour. But that doesn’t make any good copy for any first-time reporter that was looking to impress his influential and high-society family.
The storyline of Friday Night Bites is wonderful and you will like the characters too. The narrator is the only weak point of this audiobook. Still, this is a book that you can consider investing in your time.
