Throb

Vi Keeland is a New York Times bestselling author and also the author of Throb. She has sold millions of books and her titles have appeared in over a hundred Bestseller lists. Some of her best books include The Invitation and Worth the Flight. This book, however, is a contemporary romance story. This is the story of Kate who needs to win a reality show. She ends up making a deal with the devil.

Sebastian York and Molly Glenmore have narrated this book. While Sebastian has done a more than satisfactory job, the same can’t be said about the latter. She just doesn’t have the voice to do this role. Some parts are raspy that annoy the listener to no end.

Kate signed the contract as the rules were simple enough; no dating, no sex outside the game, and no disclosing the terms. When she signed it, she felt good. Now, she is not so sure. That might have to do with the fact that she fell in love with a dirty talking guy. Cooper is sexy, bossy, and cool. She is smitten in no time. Cooper could have any woman that he wanted. Kate was the only one he couldn’t have, and that is why he wanted her. He wins her heart before the guy in the reality show. She was supposed to win the show and use the money to help her family. Now, there is no knowing what’s about to happen.

Keeland writes believable stories that appeal to the audience. She doesn’t rely on romantic story tropes and thus her stories are original and unpredictable. This one here is no different. You will surely enjoy the book if you can look past the subpar performance of Molly as the narrator.
