The Laughing Corpse is the second novel in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter (Unabridged) novel series. It is written by a proficient writer known as Laurell K. Hamilton. She is a fantasy and paranormal romance novelist. She has published a couple of series and both of them helped her make a good number of fans. She also got a nomination for the Goodreads Choice Awards for the best paranormal fantasy novel. You can try her other top novels which namely are Guilty Pleasures and Sucker Punch.
Kimberly Alexis gave just a satisfactory performance in this one. It seems the novel is not the one that suits her style of narration. The prime protagonist of this novel is supposed to be a sharp-tongued character but the narrator was not able to capture that.
In The Laughing Corpse novel, the story starts with a weird creature that is seen from beyond the grave. The act committed there was about tearing a band of killing all through St. Louis. It is now up to Anita to learn and acquire more of her skills. She should know about the fact that there are some secrets which are better if they remain buried or hidden. On top of that and in a similar manner, some people are supposed to be a lot better off dead.
The Laughing Corpse is an intense and dark tale novel. It also has some glimpses of dark humor and if you pick that then you will surely enjoy this novel at a different level. Overall, this book is quite enjoyable with the content that the majority of paranormal romance lovers are looking for.
