The fourteenth book of the series which is about the Vampire Hunter Anita Blake is written with the same passion by Laurell K. Hamilton in which he wrote the first chapter. This is about the one who can kill vampires and save mankind at the same time. For a long, she tried to kill every vampire coming her way, and then she met the master vampire who was like her in his thinking.
The master vampire also wanted to keep the peace between the vampire world and the world of humans. So Anita started working for him by killing those who dare to disturb that peace. During this time Anita also started falling in love with two different individuals which made her personal life a little tougher than she had hoped for.
Crimson Death and Smolder kind of stories were related to both worlds and as compared to them, this one is more about the human world. Anita is stuck in something big which cannot be dealt with very easily. She has to take care of her emotions and keeping an eye on the issues developing around her is the second big task in her hands.
Failing under such circumstances has never been an option for Anita Blake and she is hoping that she might be given that kind of a chance here. Narrator Cynthia Holloway has narrated other episodes of this series before so there is not much alteration in the quality of the voice. Big disasters are approaching Anita’s way and she has to stop them by standing story because no one is going to come to her aid in such a situation.
