Anita Blake has everything which we need to see in a hero of fantasy stories. She is strong, hot, and also with an attraction toward action. Her attitude shows that she likes challenging stuff and is never in the mood to run away from those challenges. In the fourth part, things are not going very well for Anita and the people around her.
Loving and dating a werewolf was not part of Anita’s future plans but she didn’t reject the chance when she had it. So now she is dating that werewolf who has some issues linked to his personality and keeping up with him in the future looks quite grim to Anita. Anita does not want to start a new relationship all over again with another werewolf so she is trying to adjust to the issues with her current boyfriend.
Meanwhile, as Anita is busy with her personal affairs, there are dark things rising in the background. At first, she does not pay attention because she thinks that it is nothing of the serious type and then a shapeshifter gets killed. One thing which Anita is sure about is the fact that humans cannot kill shapeshifters so sinister forces is after the crime and she has to look into it.
The writer of the series Laurell K. Hamilton and the official narrator Kimberly Alexis have not allowed any kind of alteration to appear in the series since the first chapter. The writer seems to have done all the homework before the creation of this tale. Smolder and Crimson Death stunned everyone and the fourth part is there to take our senses away. We will feel that we are mesmerized by the continuation of the story because we will not want to move as long as the story is in progress.
