Laurell K. Hamilton keeps on giving everyone more and more of the Anita Blake series. This is what the public wants from the bottom of their hearts. Anita is the all-time favorite character of most fans and it is basically her character that has brought the series so far. There has not been a lot of change in the powers and potential of Anita Blake during the series but her personality has surely evolved or we can say that she has improved psychologically.
At first, she didn’t like the vampires and she thought that they should be eradicated at once. Then she met the master vampire Jean-Claude who was different in his hunger. Since then she kills the bad vampires only and puts the good one close to her heart and body.
The situation is changing drastically once again as Anita gets into trouble when she tries to help a friend. Suddenly there are conspiracies that are happening all around and there is also a talk about the ancient vampire queen who can take the place of Jean-Claude within no time.
Beauty was with certain kinds of changes which are apparent here but don’t try to compare this novel or The Secret with this masterpiece. The conspiracies run down deep in this show and Anita must play a psychological game to get out of this trouble, the physical strength will not play a big role here. The fights which Anita has taken part in previously were not about her personal matters. The matter attached to Jean-Claude is personal and for this purpose, Kimberly Alexis has given gravity to the narration.
