Wounded Audiobook
Simple wounds can heart a person the most on some occasions. The wounds can heal if they are not psychological. The mind can play real games with an individual as it can make the healing process go faster or slower. The same is the case with Tomas who has been shot recently and although he has survived he does not think that he is going to get well ever again. Anita and the wereleopards Micah and Nathaniel meet Tomas at the wedding of his sister.
Everyone was happy except the brother of the bride who had his own wounds to think about. Anita and the wereleopards think that they can make Tomas feel better by talking to him. So they start telling him about their own wounds and the way they were able to heal themselves. Tomas was actually confined to his wheelchair and he wasn’t making any kind of effort because of which he had no chance of getting better.
Laurell K. Hamilton hasn’t tried to add action in this part as usually, we observe that Anita is busy with the fighting stunts. Being a vampire hunter she does not talk too much in the novels and her prime focus is to kill vampires all the time.
At this point, Kimberly Alexis narrates how Anita focuses completely on the betterment of young Tomas. This one aspect of the story has made it different from Death of a Darklord and Crimson Death. We can say that this tale has more human touch in it because Anita and the rest of the gang are trying to help and they are trying to do this through a motivational talk.
