Usually, in cosy towns, people feel that there is love in the air but this is not the case in Missouri. This is the place where Anita Blake lives and she is not the only spooky creature in the town. There are vampires and other supernatural creatures that roam the city every now and then. The people of the town used to be afraid of these happenings but now their attitude had been changed because they have Anita Blake with them.
She has the power to kill the vampires who try to get out of their territory. Also, she has relation with the master vampire Jean-Claude. This has provided her an extra edge all the time and on this occasion, she needs it more than ever before. Four people have been killed in the different corners of the city and this is not part of the daily routine so it is obvious that something big is going on in the city and Anita must look into this matter personally.
Author Laurell K. Hamilton and narrator Kimberly Alexis have joined hands for another part of the series as the previous one became an instant hit. Smolder also worked on the same kind of pattern and the author has intentionally not tried anything different. Keeping things according to the wishes of the fans is the best way to move forward.
Thinking that Death of a Darklord had bigger and stronger enemies is not the right perception because the author has kept the same quality of opponents for Anita Blake in all the episodes. Giving Anita Blake an easy time in any episode would not look good at all.
