Into the Water Audiobook
Tragedies are everywhere in this modern world and so many times we listen about things that bring fear and terror to our minds. Paula Hawkins writes about those tragedies and devastating incidents in a darker way. The stories which Hawkins writes are not for the kids who are listening to the stories at night without any adult in the house.
The children can get scared because there are evil killers who are on the loose in stories such as The Girl on the Train and A Slow Fire Burning. Murders also start taking place at the beginning of this novel and no one knows about the killer and the purpose behind the crimes. The only thing common is that the victims are women all the time.
Also, the dead bodies of both victims are found in the same river. The first one was a young girl who was killed and then her dead body was thrown into the river. The second one was a woman who had been missing from the town for many days until her dead body was found at the bottom of the river.
After these incidents, the author introduces us to the main character who is a fifteen year old girl who is living with her aunt and has some issues of her own to deal with as well. Her aunt thought that she would not return to her hometown because of the horrors of her past but she was forced to return because of her niece. Imogen Church, Rachel Bavidge, and Laura Aikman have managed the narration well together because their voice doesn’t mix up during any of the scenes.
