Every book of the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child tells more about the lone warrior who has all the time in the world to utilize for justice. There was a time when he used to serve the government and law enforcement agencies but that has become a thing of the past now because Jack has left all that far behind. He moves from here to there with no particular purpose in mind.[Blue Moon Audiobook]
Every now and then, Jack comes face to face with people who need his help and he stops for a while to solve their problems. Those who need his help but fail to find him can just call his name and he will be there for them. Once again the narrator Scott Brick starts narrating the story from an isolated road on which Jack Reacher is traveling.
Jack was just going to some place peaceful when he confronted an elderly couple that was apparently waiting for its death. The couple had borrowed a lot of money from the wrong guys and now they had nothing to pay back. Jack decided to help them with the guidance of a local waitress but very soon Jack finds himself in the battle of a gang war.
This could be a disastrous thing for other people but for Jack, this is part of his daily routine. He has faced deadly opponents a number of times so he is not afraid to take further risks in life. From the maker of No Plan B and A Wanted Man, this one is a chilling thriller that will charge you up. The hero will not get any kind of resting stop in this novel and the good thing is that Jack is not looking for rest. Jack wants to get the job done as quickly as possible after which he would be on to his course.[Blue Moon Audiobook]
