‘Salem’s Lot (Movie Tie-in) is a psychological horror fiction title that will intrigue you with its great suspense as well. It is beautifully written by Stephen King. He is considered a maestro and a legendary author of writing the best supernatural and horror fiction novels. You will believe in this claim once you try out his The Stand novel. Another top novel of Stephen King to recommend here is The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.
The audio narration of the subject title is done by Ron McLarty and Stephen King himself. This performance, especially by Ron McLarty enriches this excellent story with more appropriate chills.
Ben Mears made a return back to the Lot of Jerusalem with the hopes that living in the old mansion would help him cast out his devils and to provide him with the much need inspiration and motivation for his next book. That old mansion has been the subject of town lore for quite a long time. But things didn’t go as per his hopes, plans, and expectations. The scenario changed drastically with the entry of a couple of boys in the story. They ventured into the woods but only one of them came out alive from there. Ben Mears started to realize that there might be something eerie and sinister out there at work. He believed that his entire hometown was under siege by supernatural forces of darkness which were believed to be far beyond his control.
The novel started pretty well with an excellent storyline and characters. However, halfway down the novel, it became quite predictable with its story while the characters were watered down drastically with an apathetic ending.
