The audio narration of the subject title is done by January LaVoy. She handled this story and all of its characters quite well through her constantly modulating voice for the different characters as per their personality.
Deputy Shelby as a baby was abandoned. She was saved then by a stranger who found her in the open when it was extremely cold. After years, there was a case of a young boy missing. Shelby was the one supposed to find and rescue that boy. The name of that boy was Jeremiah and the only evidence of his disappearance was a cycle that was left behind on an isolated road. After a desperate search operation to find him failed ten the close bonds of the hometown of Shelby started to fray right under the weight of suspicion and accusations.
Everybody was keeping secrets all around. Her adopted father, her friend, a d the young daughter of her friend, of them, had something to hide. Even Shelby at her end was hiding a mistake and if revealed, it could jeopardize both her career and future.
The Deep, Deep Snow tells an amazing and perfect story. It has just the right amount of twists, turns, complexity, and resolution. The author deserves a lot of praise for crafting an excellent, multi-layered mystery.
